Artechno Announces Automated Solution for Placing and Gluing Reinforcement Strips to Enhance Cultivation Container Stiffness in Vertical Farming Systems

28 of January 2024 – Maasdijk, The Netherlands – Artechno, a leader in agricultural automation, has introduced an innovative system for placing and gluing reinforcement strips inside cultivation containers. This solution addresses a key challenge in vertical farming: container bending caused by pressure from linear actuators, which compromises structural integrity and alignment. The issue becomes critical in high-density setups with up to 30 containers in line, where bending escalates exponentially. Artechno’s automated system ensures container rigidity, enhancing reliability and efficiency in vertical farming operations.
